Sacraments

Baptism

A Catholic sacrament of initiation, incorporation into the Church, and a necessary condition for salvation. Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments and is the door to the other sacraments.

First Communion

The first reception of the sacrament of the Eucharist, typically occurring at around the age of seven or whenever the person reaches the age of reason.

Confirmation

A Catholic sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three sacraments of initiation.

Matrimony

A sacred union recognized by the Church between a man and a woman, established by God and is indissoluble by human authority.

Confessions

The sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, where a Catholic confesses their sins to a priest and is granted forgiveness.

Anointing the Sick

A sacrament that is intended to strengthen those who are being tried by illness. It is also known as the Last Rites or Extreme Unction.
